Suicide Prevention & Resilience in Children (SPARC)

SPARC is the Suicide Prevention and Resilience in Children program focused on multidisciplinary care for youth at risk for self-harm. After a year of training and working together, the SPARC at Metrocare groups are run by Metrocare clinicians with monthly consultations with Children’s Health.

Youth Group Therapy
Weekly group therapy for 90 minutes for 8 weeks.

The focus of this therapy is on teaching skills to reduce risk factors related to suicidal thoughts and behaviors. The locations are as follows:

Who is the program for?
  • Adolescent, ages 12-17 years old

  • Have suicidal ideation or have had previous suicide attempt

Metrocare provides mental health services to any Dallas County resident regardless of ability to pay.
